These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of RedactSnap’s websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The Service

RedactSnap helps you identify and redact sensitive information in PDFs and images. Features may change as we improve the product. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.

Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@redact-snap.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate law or infringe others’ rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights;
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or bypass security or access controls;
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or deceptive content;
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.

Your content and responsibility

You retain ownership of documents and data you process. You are solely responsible for the legality of your content and for verifying redactions before you rely on them in regulated or high-risk contexts (for example litigation, employment, or financial reporting). The Service is an aid, not a substitute for professional judgment or legal advice.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REDACTIONS WILL BE COMPLETE, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY SPECIFIC COMPLIANCE OR LEGAL REQUIREMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER REDACTSNAP NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify RedactSnap and its affiliates, officers, and employees against any third-party claims, damages, and costs arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, subject to our prompt notice and reasonable cooperation.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if we must do so to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have in your country of residence.

Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example by email or in-product message). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
